【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversblackandhot-dippedgalvanizedweldedandseamlesssteelpipeinNPS1/2toNPS10,inclusive[DN15toDN250,inclusive](Note1),withwallthicknessesasgiveninTable1andTable2.PipehavingotherwallthicknessesmaybefurnishedprovidedsuchpipecomplieswithallotherrequirementsofthisspecificationandtheoutsidediameterisasgiveninTable2.Pipeorderedunderthisspecificationisintendedforuseinfireprotectionsystems.Thepipemaybebent,butitisnotintendedforbendingmadeatambienttemperaturewhereintheinsidediameterofthebendislessthantwelvetimestheoutsidediameterofthepipebeingbent(Note2).Note18212;ThedimensionlessdesignatorsNPS(nominalpipesize)andDN(nominaldiameter)havebeensubstitutedinthisstandardforsuchtraditionaltermsasx201C;nominaldiameter,x201D;x201C;size,x201D;andx201C;nominalsize.x201D;Note28212;Successfulbendingofpipeisafunctionofequipmentandtechniqueaswellaspipeproperties.1.2Thispipeissuitableforjoiningbythefollowingmethods:1.2.1Light-WeightFireProtectionPipe8212;Rolledgroove,welding,andfittingsforplainendpipe.SeeTable1fordimensions.1.2.2Standard-WeightFireProtectionPipe8212;Cutorrolledgroove,threading,welding,andfittingsforplainendpipe.SeeTable2fordimensions.1.2.3ForpipehavingdimensionsotherthanthoseofTable1andTable2,thejoiningmethodmustbecompatiblewiththepipedimensions.AcompletelistingofstandardlightweightdimensionsappearsinASMEB36.10andB36.19.1.3Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Sections8,9,and10,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.
